Job Description Summary
Job Description
Lead Integrations Architect
TDS Technology & Data Solutions | Reports to Global Head of Data Architecture & Engineering | Hybrid/Remote, US/EMEA hours
The role
You will own integration architecture across C&W's data and application estate as the firm's go-to authority. You will set the standards, design and build the hardest integrations yourself, and raise the capability of delivery teams around you.
What you'll do
- Define and govern our integration patterns (API, point-to-point, hub-and-spoke, ESB, iPaaS, event-driven, bi-directional sync) and guide teams on when to use each.
- Design end-to-end integrations across custom, SaaS and PaaS systems, covering data contracts, error handling, observability, security and scale.
- Build the most complex, highest-risk integrations hands-on and prove them production-ready.
- Create reference architectures and reusable components so teams build faster and more consistently.
- Lead architecture on strategic programmes, owning design, sequencing and trade-offs.
- Coach engineers through design and code reviews.
- Steer the move from legacy point-to-point and ESB estates to modern patterns, with clear cutover and rollback plans.
- Surface security, reliability and data integrity risks and drive them to resolution through governance forums.
- Advise engineering, data, AI, product and business stakeholders, and work closely with Data Engineering, Security, Infrastructure and Architecture.
What you'll bring
- Senior experience designing and building data integrations at scale across custom, SaaS and PaaS.
- Hands-on depth across multiple integration patterns, plus .NET and C#.
- Working knowledge of iPaaS, event-driven architecture and bi-directional sync.
- A track record of leading through influence and setting technical standards in a complex enterprise.
- Strong grasp of integration security, identity, observability and data governance in regulated, global settings.
Nice to have
- Experience retiring legacy ESB or point-to-point estates.
- Familiarity with API management, message brokers and streaming platforms.
- Experience in a global data organisation across time zones.
