SOX Senior Auditor
Job Description Summary
The Senior SOX Compliance Specialist supports the execution and continuous enhancement of the SOX 404 compliance program. The role is responsible for documenting and testing business process controls, identifying control deficiencies, monitoring remediation activities, and partnering with control owners to ensure compliance with SOX requirements. The position provides end-to-end ownership of assigned SOX processes, entities, or business units, including risk assessments, walkthroughs, control testing, issue evaluation, and reporting. The individual works closely with senior stakeholders and external auditors, applies professional judgment to scoping and testing decisions, reviews the work of other team members to ensure quality and consistency, and contributes to the ongoing improvement of the SOX program through process optimization, automation, and best practices.
Job Description
Key Requirements
- 3+ years of SOX, Internal Audit, or External Audit experience
- Experience performing sample selections in accordance with established audit methodologies and sampling guidance
- Analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Fluent English
Additional Advantages
- Knowledge of SOX 404, internal controls, risk assessment methodologies, the COSO framework, and auditing principles
- Experience performing process walkthroughs, control testing, issue evaluation, and remediation validation
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIA, or equivalent
- Experience working with data analytics and continuous process improvement initiatives
