Assistant Project Manager - Civil - PEB Structures (Industrial)
Job Description Summary
This role is responsible for managing the execution, coordination, and delivery of Civil and PEB (Pre-Engineered Building) works for Industrial projects. The Assistant Project Manager will oversee construction activities, contractor management, quality, safety, cost, and schedule adherence while ensuring successful project completion in line with client expectations and organizational objectives.

About the Role:
- Manage the execution of Civil and PEB construction activities for industrial, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and factory development projects.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, design teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution and achievement of project milestones.
- Review civil and structural drawings, PEB designs, shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications and engineering standards.
- Monitor project schedules, resource deployment, construction progress, and productivity to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
- Supervise site construction activities including foundations, grading, roads, drainage systems, industrial infrastructure, utility works, RCC structures, and PEB erection works.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, approved construction methodologies, statutory regulations, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Utility teams to facilitate multidisciplinary project execution.
- Manage contractors and subcontractors by tracking performance, resolving site issues, and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
- Conduct regular site inspections, project review meetings, and progress assessments to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor project budgets, resource utilization, material consumption, and cost controls while supporting commercial and procurement teams.
- Ensure compliance with project quality plans, inspection procedures, material approval processes, and testing requirements.
- Review and verify contractor bills, change orders, progress claims, and project documentation as required.
- Prepare project status reports, construction updates, risk registers, recovery plans, and management presentations.
- Support testing, commissioning, handover activities, punch-point closure, and project closeout documentation.
About You:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 8-12 years of experience in the construction and delivery of Industrial, Manufacturing, Logistics, Warehousing, Factory, or Infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in managing PEB structures, industrial buildings, warehouses, and large-scale civil construction works.
- Strong knowledge of PEB design concepts, structural steel erection, industrial construction methodologies, and project execution processes.
- Experience in coordinating with consultants, contractors, fabrication agencies, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Good understanding of project scheduling, construction sequencing, resource planning, and risk management.
- Working knowledge of quality management systems, safety standards, and statutory construction requirements.
- Exposure to contract administration, project budgeting, billing verification, and vendor management is preferred.
- Ability to review engineering drawings, specifications, construction methods, and technical documentation.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and project reporting tools will be an added advantage.
- Experience in fast-track industrial project delivery environments is highly desirable.
