Property Accountant
Job Description Summary
The Property Accountant is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and outgoings reconciliations for a portfolio of commercial real estate properties managed by Cushman & Wakefield. This role partners closely with Property Managers and Operations teams to ensure financial integrity, compliance with client reporting requirements, and effective portfolio performance analysis.

About the Role:
- Prepare and deliver accurate monthly financial reports, ensuring compliance with client reporting requirements and established deadlines.
- Produce monthly reporting packages, including balance sheet reconciliations, profit and loss analysis, and variance commentary support for Property Managers.
- Perform month-end accounting activities, including accruals, journals, prepayments, adjustments, and analysis of property income and expenses.
- Partner with Operations and Property Management teams to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and periodic portfolio reforecasts.
- Prepare annual outgoings estimates and reconciliations (wash-ups), ensuring accurate recovery calculations and tenant charge allocations.
About You:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial property accounting or real estate finance.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliations.
- Experience using MRI, JDE, or similar property management/accounting ERP systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
