Job Description Summary

We are looking for an experienced Critical Facilities Supervisor to lead onsite plant operations and ensure the safe, reliable, and compliant delivery of 24/7 maintenance services across a mission-critical data center facility. This role is responsible for supervising the Plant Operations team, overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance programs, managing operational risk and escalation, and ensuring services are delivered in line with client standards, SLAs, KPIs, and safety requirements.

About the Role:

  • Deliver Maintenance Services to client SLA and KPI requirements while supporting continuous facility uptime and safe 24/7 operations.
  • Provide direction and leadership to the onsite Plant Operations team, ensuring sufficient qualified personnel are available throughout the service term.
  • Monitor workload and resources against KPI and budget constraints to maintain service continuity and operational performance.
  • Initiate and manage site reviews covering maintenance standards, equipment health, change control, single points of failure, and operational risk.
  • Benchmark facility performance against commissioning documents, manufacturer recommendations, industry standards, and comparable facilities where appropriate.
  • Create and maintain the preventive maintenance schedule, raise corrective maintenance work orders, and manage activity records within the client’s CMMS.
  • Monitor BMS, PMS, safety systems, and other monitoring platforms, identifying deviations from normal operating parameters and notifying the client promptly through work orders.
  • Conduct periodic facility rounds and inspections, and ensure findings are reported to the client within required timelines.
  • Ensure all services are performed in compliance with client policies, safety requirements, and company electrical safety programs.
  • Verify that relevant personnel hold valid Certificates of Qualification and meet all applicable federal and local regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise, monitor, and direct the performance of Maintenance Services, ensuring maintenance documentation meets required standards and supports effective asset management.
  • Ensure strong data governance of asset and maintenance information within the CMMS.
  • Ensure site operations, including incident management and escalation, are carried out in accordance with approved client and Cushman & Wakefield procedures.
  • Proactively communicate risks, SLA status, operational concerns, and improvement actions to the client and relevant stakeholders.

About You:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in critical facility operations, maintenance management, or engineering within a mission-critical environment.
  • Experience in a supervisory role overseeing maintenance teams in a Tier III or equivalent data center or mission-critical facility is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of facility mechanical and electrical infrastructure systems, safety regulations, and preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives, maintenance program development, client relationship management, and operational reporting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide teams and manage client-facing operational issues.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability, including in emergency and incident response situations.
  • Proficiency in CMMS platforms for maintenance scheduling, work order management, and activity reporting.
  • Familiarity with BMS/PMS monitoring systems and the ability to interpret facility operations data and performance trends.
  • Proficiency in CMMS and operations management software, with familiarity in BI or reporting dashboard tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Industry-recognized data center qualification such as CDCP would be an advantage.
