Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership, Hands-On Support & Stakeholder Management
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 13 statutory professionals across Budapest and Manila, supported by 2 supervisors/team leads.
• Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture focused on accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Act as a hands-on manager by providing subject matter expertise, technical advisory, and stepping in to support or execute tasks during peak periods, absences, or complex situations.
• Review key deliverables, processes, and critical accounting judgments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including Country Controllers, auditors, tax teams, and EMEA finance leadership across multiple countries.
• Oversee workload allocation, prioritization, and coordination of statutory deliverables and audit timelines.
• Lead transitions of statutory activities from local controllers or external providers into the COE.
Statutory Reporting & Local GAAP Compliance
Oversee and ensure high-quality delivery of statutory reporting across multiple EMEA entities:
• Review group trial balances post-close and validate statutory reporting inputs.
• Oversee and review GAAP-to-Statutory reconciliations, including local GAAP adjustments and reclassifications.
• Review preparation of statutory financial statements and disclosures prior to Country Controller approval.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, filing requirements, and deadlines across jurisdictions.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance on complex statutory and accounting matters.
• Support administrative statutory compliance tasks, including filings and legal documentation.
• Collaborate with tax teams or external advisors by providing accurate statutory financial data.
Audit Management & External Stakeholder Coordination
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors across EMEA entities.
• Manage the full statutory audit lifecycle, including planning, coordination, and execution.
• Review audit deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Coordinate and streamline auditor requests while minimizing operational disruption.
• Provide expert input on complex audit issues and escalate when needed.
Process Excellence & Regional Initiatives
• Drive standardization, documentation, and harmonization of statutory processes within the COE.
• Develop and enhance SOPs, templates, and reporting frameworks.
• Identify and implement best practices across countries in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Support implementation of statutory tools, automation, and efficiency improvements.
• Contribute to regional initiatives such as legal entity rationalization, reorganizations, tax audits, and finance transformation projects.
• Continuously review and improve processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and control environment.
