Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Portfolio Operations to provide senior operational leadership across a complex, high-profile portfolio of live, publicly accessible precincts. This role will lead and oversee portfolio-wide service delivery across Facilities Management, onsite Helpdesk, Permit and Berth Operations, Event Operations, and Health, Safety and Environment. You will ensure operational services are delivered in a coordinated, compliant and precinct-based manner, with a strong focus on safety, performance, governance and continuous improvement. Acting as the key operational interface between service streams and senior account leadership, you will provide direction to operational leads, manage cross-service integration, oversee risk and performance, and support effective escalation and governance across day-to-day portfolio operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day portfolio operations across multiple service streams.

  • Oversee facilities management, planned and reactive maintenance, contractor performance and statutory compliance.

  • Manage onsite helpdesk performance, service requests, incident escalation and issue resolution.

  • Oversee permit, berth and event operations, ensuring safe and compliant delivery.

  • Maintain oversight of HSE requirements, incident management, investigations and corrective actions.

  • Monitor KPIs, service levels, reporting and governance requirements.

  • Act as an escalation point for operational risks, incidents and service delivery issues.

  • Support mobilization, transition activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You will have:

  • 8-10+ years’ experience in senior operations, facilities management, precinct operations or integrated services.

  • Experience managing complex, live or publicly accessible environments.

  • Strong knowledge of risk, compliance, contractor management and operational governance.

  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams across FM, helpdesk, events, permits/berths and HSE.

  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.

  • A focus on safety, compliance, service excellence and continuous improvement.
