C&W Services is seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman / General Facilities Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day maintenance operations in a commercial environment. This role is responsible for performing a wide range of facility repair and improvement tasks to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained workspace. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with hands-on experience across multiple trades, including basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general repair work.
Job Description
he Handyman / General Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing both routine and non-routine facility maintenance tasks. This includes addressing work orders, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting minor renovation and improvement projects across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general facility maintenance and repair tasks in a commercial setting
Complete minor construction and improvement projects, including patchwork, painting, and fixture installation
Conduct light plumbing repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing faucets, and clearing minor clogs
Remove, repair, and replace floor tiles and other surface materials as needed
Repair drywall, perform patchwork, and complete touch-ups to maintain appearance standards
Install, replace, and repair fixtures such as lighting, hardware, and basic equipment
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
Support preventative maintenance activities to ensure facility systems remain operational
Identify maintenance needs and proactively recommend solutions
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with other maintenance staff, vendors, and site leadership as needed
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
2+ years of hands-on experience in general maintenance, handyman services, or facilities support
Working knowledge of multiple trades, including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and minor electrical work
Ability to use common hand and power tools safely and effectively
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks or work orders
Good communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a commercial or corporate facility environment
Trade school certification or vocational training in a related field
Knowledge of building systems and preventative maintenance practices
OSHA safety training or certifications

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $18.15 - $21.35
