Associate – Public Sector Advisory London
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our Strategic Advisory Team, specialising in real estate consulting for public sector clients. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact projects across central government, local authorities, health and education sectors. As an Associate, you will lead client engagements, deliver strategic property advice, and support business growth, while collaborating across wider Cushman & Wakefield service teams to drive innovative and practical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage real estate consultancy assignments from inception through to completion, taking ownership for delivery against agreed scope, timelines, and budgets
• Provide high-quality strategic advice on property portfolios, asset optimisation, and service delivery, particularly with public sector clients
• Act as a key client contact, building trusted relationships and ensuring a consistently high level of client satisfaction
• Identify and proactively pursue new business opportunities, contributing to pipeline development and revenue growth
• Support and lead the preparation of proposals, tender submissions, pitches, and presentations
• Collaborate with colleagues across service lines and geographies to deliver integrated solutions and maximise cross-selling opportunities
• Manage project financials, including fee forecasting, budgeting, and cost control to ensure commercial performance
• Lead, coordinate and support project teams, delegating effectively and contributing to the development and mentoring of junior team members
• Ensure all work complies with internal policies, professional standards, and risk management requirements
• Contribute to the wider team strategy, including knowledge sharing, market insight, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support wider team client facing and internal process development to maintain our forward edge approaches to handling client relationships and assignments.
Skills & Experience:
• Experience in real estate, consulting or advisory roles, with a track record of delivering client projects
• Strong client relationship management and business development capabilities
• Effective communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
• Good commercial awareness, financial acumen and analytical ability
• Strong organisational, project management and report writing skills
• Collaborative team player with ability to support and develop others
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and diagnostic tools
• Positive outlook on, and working knowledge of, AI tools and generation of validated outputs
• Degree-level qualification
• Professional qualification (e.g. MRICS) preferred
