Associate / Senior Associate – Rating
Birmingham
Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate – Rating to join our expanding National Rating team in Birmingham.
Our Rating team has delivered over 30% revenue growth in the past three years, driven by major portfolio wins and sustained appeal performance. Birmingham is a key growth hub within that national platform, and we are investing in experienced surveyors who want to play a meaningful role in that trajectory.
This is a senior delivery role with clear progression into leadership.
The Role
You will:
Lead strategies to minimise business rates liabilities across complex portfolios
Take primary responsibility for key client accounts
Manage empty rates mitigation and relief applications
Undertake and review property inspections and valuation measurements
Analyse assessments and evidence to determine appeal strategy
Prepare and manage submissions through the Check, Challenge, Appeal (CCA) process
Deliver commercially focused advice through high-quality reports and presentations
Contribute to fee growth, forecasting and business development
Mentor and develop junior surveyors
About You
MRICS qualified with strong rating experience
Proven track record managing client portfolios independently
Strong technical knowledge of the CCA system
Commercially aware with appetite for fee growth
Confident communicator and negotiator
Experience using Riverlake, Analyse, RatesData, Calcurate (or similar)
Leadership or mentoring experience desirable
