ole Description: • Occupational health and Safety of Employees • Safe and Environmentally Friendly Work Practices • Physical Security Key Responsibilities Physical Security • Develop and implement safety and security operations, policies, procedures, and training to ensure compliance with all University and/or government operations, policies, and procedures • Administer framework necessary to ensure safety and security operations, policies, and procedures; oversee the correction of all issues in the interest of safety, security and risk reduction • Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, risks, vulnerabilities, and threats to safety and security in the development of appropriate safety and security strategy • Oversee the performance of facility, special program, contract, divisional, and all other security personnel • Manage the investigation and correction of all security compliance issues • Lead investigations, audits, and security inspections • Analyze, track and interpret regulatory changes and trends based on broad perspective; identify necessary policy modifications • Provide budget information and assist in forecasting requirements • Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of special programs • Develop sources and maintain liaison with appropriate law enforcement as well as peers in the public and private sector • Prepare and analyze reports for cost saving, forecasting, and planning • Serve on committees and boards related to safety and security • Hire, train, evaluate and lead all security staff and organization personnel with security duties • Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of special programs • Facilitate training programs towards employee safety regarding public safety and other regulatory requirements; revise and improve trainings as necessary • Provide guidance to administration, faculty, staff, and students; contribute to the strategic planning process Job Description Safety • Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines • Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety • Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law • Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention • Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations • Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions • Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims • Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures • Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics Qualification & Key Traits • Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Fire and safety with Security Experience • Valid qualification in occupational health and safety • Experience in Indian Army will be of advantage • Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines • Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies • Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment • Excellent organizational and motivational skills • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
