Job Description Summary

This role leads safe, reliable, and efficient mechanical operations during assigned shifts, with a strong focus on critical cooling and HVAC infrastructure. The position is responsible for maintaining uptime, coordinating maintenance activities, supporting incident response, and driving continuous improvement across mechanical systems performance.

About the Role:

  • Lead shift oversight for critical mechanical infrastructure, including HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and associated systems, to ensure safe and reliable operations
  • Monitor mechanical system performance and conduct troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain operational resilience
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities in line with approved procedures and schedules
  • Support incident response and root cause analysis for mechanical equipment failures, helping restore service and prevent recurrence
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for servicing, repair, and maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards
  • Identify opportunities for energy optimization and mechanical system improvements, while maintaining accurate maintenance records and technical reports

About You:

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in mechanical operations, facilities maintenance, or critical environment support, ideally within data centers, industrial sites, or mission-critical facilities
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical infrastructure systems such as HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and related building services equipment
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues, support incident response, and contribute to root cause analysis in operational environments
  • Experience planning and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance activities, with strong awareness of safety, compliance, and operational standards
  • Able to coordinate effectively with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide shift activities, coordinate vendors and contractors, and support safe, reliable mechanical operations
  • Detail-oriented and technically grounded, with the ability to maintain accurate records, produce clear reports, and identify opportunities for system and energy performance improvements.
