Job Description Summary

C&W Services, one of North America’s largest and most successful integrated Facilities Services Company with over 50 years of facilities outsourcing experience is looking for a Handyperson for a major customer account in Long Island, NY. The Handyperson is a position within the line of operations of C&W Services. The incumbent is responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance functions, including, patching and painting walls, replacing ceiling tiles and minor equipment, plumbing, carpentry repairs.

Job Description

Responsibilities/Tasks/Duties

  • Must be on time for shift
  • Knowledge of basic Plumbing, Electrical, Painting, Sheet rock installation, cleaning, concrete work
  • Exterior work – Pressure Washing, Occasional Snow Removal, Black Top Installation
  • Driver’s License – to operate company work vehicles
  • Event set ups and take down to include Mall holiday set ups
  • Use of a Scissor lift
  • Ceramic Tile Installation
  • Window Washing
  • Door Lock installation
  • Safety conscience at all times
  • Able to use power tools
  • Able to Work by themselves
  • Communication ability with coworkers and Management
  • Must be able to go and buy needed supplies
  • Able of maintaining company equipment
  • Cleaning and revise
  • Roof weather permitting
  • Revise electrical, valve , rooms
  • Revise fan rooms
  • Daily routine revision of all mall doors
  • Moving of heavy leasing carts
  • Outdoor servicing of transformer caged area
  • Cleaning of flooded areas
  • Changing out advertising signs
  • Be able to work at the outer parcels
  • Maintaining and organizing all maintenance rooms
  • Purchasing of fuel using company credit card
  • Scheduled Days – Friday – Tuesday
  • Hours 2pm – 10:30pm

Requirements

2-5 years previous experience as a handyman or related position

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Good interpersonal communications skills and ability to work with other people.

Requires attention to detail.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $17.43 - $20.50
