Job Purpose
Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an accomplished and entrepreneurial Head of Sales, Design & Build France to lead the development and execution of our national sales strategy across the French market.
This senior leadership role will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening client relationships across the Office, Retail, and Hospitality sectors. The successful candidate will lead the Design & Build business development function, identify and secure major project opportunities, and position Cushman & Wakefield as the partner of choice for occupiers, investors, landlords, and operators seeking workplace, retail, and hospitality transformation solutions.
The role combines strategic leadership with direct executive-level business development responsibility and will work closely with service line leaders across Occupier Services, Capital Markets, Asset Services, Project & Development Services, and Workplace Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Business Growth
- Develop and implement the Design & Build sales strategy for France, aligned with business objectives and regional growth priorities.
- Lead all business development activities to drive sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of Design & Build opportunities across Office, Retail, and Hospitality sectors.
- Identify market trends, emerging client requirements, and growth opportunities to enhance competitive positioning.
- Actively pursue and secure major project commissions from corporate occupiers, investors, developers, landlords, hotel operators, and retail brands.
- Establish clear sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics for the Design & Build business.
Executive Client Relationships
- Build trusted relationships with C-suite executives, real estate leaders, workplace decision-makers, asset managers, investors, and procurement stakeholders.
- Serve as the executive sponsor for strategic client accounts and key pursuits.
- Lead complex negotiations and commercial discussions to secure long-term client partnerships.
- Represent Cushman & Wakefield at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance market visibility and brand presence.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the France Design & Build sales and business development team.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, client service, and commercial excellence.
- Support talent attraction, succession planning, and development initiatives.
- Create an environment that encourages innovation, client-centric thinking, and continuous improvement.
Cross-Business Collaboration
- Partner closely with Project Management, Workplace Strategy, Transaction Management, Occupier Services, Capital Markets, and Asset Services teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Drive cross-selling opportunities and leverage Cushman & Wakefield's broader platform to enhance client value.
- Collaborate with regional and EMEA Design & Build leadership to share best practices and contribute to international opportunities.
Proposal & Opportunity Management
- Lead strategic pursuits, presentations, pitches, and tender responses.
- Oversee bid qualification, pursuit strategy, pricing, and commercial negotiations.
- Ensure rigorous sales governance and forecasting processes.
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and business performance metrics.
Market Intelligence & Brand Development
- Monitor competitor activity, client trends, and market developments within the French real estate and construction sectors.
- Contribute thought leadership and market insight to support brand differentiation.
- Promote Cushman & Wakefield's Design & Build capabilities through client engagement and industry representation.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Significant experience in Design & Build, Project Management, Workplace Solutions, Construction, Corporate Real Estate, or a related professional services environment.
- Proven track record of leading sales growth and securing major projects within the French market.
- Demonstrated experience managing strategic client relationships at executive level.
- Strong understanding of the commercial real estate, workplace, retail, and hospitality sectors.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing sales and business development teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating complex contracts and commercial agreements.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and influencing skills.
Preferred
- Established network within the French corporate occupier, retail, hospitality, investor, and developer communities.
- Experience working within an international real estate, construction, consulting, or professional services organisation.
- Relevant degree in Business, Real Estate, Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
