You will be working as part of a team, comprised of Plumbers, Electricians, HVAC Technicians and our Building Maintenance crew ensuring our clients’ facilities are maintained to a high level.

About the Role:

The successful applicant will be part of a diverse trades working out of our Christchurch office. Our clients include major banks, Government agencies, Aged care, Prisons and, a combination of other leading NZ businesses and commercial premises. Workload will consist of a combination of reactive maintenance, minor project work, but also assisting with Planned Preventative Maintenance works.

About You:

  • Be the escalation point for the Christchurch division. This will primarily consist of managing escalations and upgrades, ensuring correct safety procedures are followed, and conducting spot checks and audits on works completed and adherence to safety and quality policy.

  • Coordination of minor work projects and ability to liaise and manage sub-contractors.

  • Complete trades and general maintenance tasks as required – must have relevant trades qualification and licenses, preferably in the HVAC, Electrical or HVAC, Building industry.

  • Identify opportunities for new work and escalate to client and/or manager. This may entail preparing documentation for upgrades and/or minor works and presenting options to clients.

  • Complete relevant documentation for client invoicing with a commercial understanding of how to make money.

  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety and ability to development HSE documentation.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate resource and alignment to meet contract KPI’s.

Health & Safety is a priority for Cushman & Wakefield and the successful candidate will be expected to have a good understanding of the H&S requirements and behaviours in commercial environment. Good personal presentation and customer service skills are also essential, as is a clean full driver’s license.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a drug test, complete a Pre-employment Health Questionnaire and MOJ check. A criminal conviction review is also a requirement of the role.
