Carpenter - Building Maintenance & Small Projects

Location: Dunedin, New Zealand (32 Fox Street)

Position Type: Full-Time (44 hours per week)

Due to continued business growth and increasing demand from new and existing customers, we are looking for an experienced and fully qualified Carpenter to join our Dunedin team. With our current team operating at full capacity, this is an exciting opportunity to become part of a well-established maintenance business delivering high-quality building maintenance and small project works across the region.

About the Role

As a Carpenter, you will carry out a variety of building maintenance, repair, and small project works across commercial and residential sites. This is a mobile role offering a diverse workload, where no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities include:

  • General building maintenance and repair works
  • Small project and refurbishment works
  • Assessing and resolving maintenance issues efficiently
  • Delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service
  • Travelling to customer sites throughout the region
  • Participating in an on-call roster

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A recognised carpentry qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in building maintenance and small project work
  • Current LBP (Licensed Building Practitioner) certification
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Full, clean driver's licence
  • Ability to travel frequently to customer sites
