Job Description Summary
We are looking for Data Center Operations Assistant to support the safe and efficient day-to-day operations of a critical data center environment. This role is responsible for assisting with infrastructure monitoring, incident response, maintenance activities, and compliance with site procedures, while helping ensure operational continuity in a 24x7 mission-critical setting.

About the role:
- Infrastructure Monitoring: Support 24x7 monitoring of data center infrastructure and respond promptly to alerts and incidents.
- Break-Fix Support: Assist with break-fix maintenance across server, networking, and storage infrastructure.
- Installation and Testing: Help install, configure, and test hardware and software to support operational and business needs.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, connectivity, and network-related issues in a timely manner.
- Preventive Maintenance: Support preventive inspections and routine maintenance activities to reduce downtime and operational risk.
- Operational Support: Assist with day-to-day data center operations while ensuring alignment with business and compliance requirements.
- SOP and MOP Compliance: Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Methods of Procedure to ensure safe, consistent, and compliant execution of work.
- Asset and Inventory Management: Maintain accurate asset and inventory records to support audits, reporting, and capacity planning.
- Performance Monitoring: Help monitor data center performance metrics and support corrective actions where needed.
- Project Support: Assist with small-to-large scale projects, including migrations, expansions, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Team Support: Carry out requests from the plant supervisor and office engineer, while supporting plant operators with site monitoring and maintenance activities.
About You:
- Fresh diploma graduate with 0–1 years of experience in IT infrastructure, technical operations, or a related field.
- Internship experience in data center operations, IT support, or infrastructure environments is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, networking, and storage.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, especially in time-sensitive situations.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with stakeholders across functions and levels.
- Able to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and follow through on responsibilities.
- Flexible to support 24x7 operations, including weekends, public holidays, and on-call requirements.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to accurate documentation.
- Physically capable of handling hardware equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrates leadership potential, with the ability to support mentoring, training, and team capability building.
