Job Description Summary

Provide hands-on technical support for electrical and mechanical systems during shifts to keep critical facility operations running at Tier III standards. Remain on-site at all times, serve as the first responder for checks and minor issues, and support Shift Engineers.

About the role:

  • Perform routine equipment checks and walkthroughs; log readings and report issues in the AMS.
  • Assist Shift Engineers with maintenance tasks (planned and reactive) across systems.
  • Respond quickly to BMS/EPMS alarms; assess and inform the Shift Engineer.
  • Follow Permit-to-Work and LOTO procedures; never work on live equipment without approval.
  • Support vendors and OEMs during site visits.
  • Keep plant rooms and technical areas clean and organized.
  • Assist with basic checks in data halls following access protocols.
  • Complete logs, checklists, and handovers accurately.
  • Participate in emergency drills and system testing (IST).
  • Cross-train to build both electrical and mechanical skills.

About You:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a data centre or similar critical environment.
  • Valid electrical or mechanical trade licence.
  • OEM training in at least two key systems (e.g., UPS, generators, cooling/chillers).
  • Ability to read technical diagrams (SLD, P&ID).
