Shift Engineer
The purpose of this role is to oversee and manage plant/equipment operations during the shift, ensuring smooth functioning, safety, and compliance.
About the Role:
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of DG sets, HVAC, electrical panels, and fire systems
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, Engineering guideline, SOP’s, Work permits, statutory regulations, and maintain proper documentation.
- Monitor equipment performance, respond to breakdowns, and ensure uninterrupted facility operations
- Supervise contractors, review service reports, and ensure timely completion of repair/maintenance work
- Maintain logs, prepare reports on DG operations, diesel consumption, and share updates with management
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems, equipment operations, and preventive maintenance.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly diagnose faults and implement effective corrective actions.
- Safety & Compliance: Understanding of workplace safety standards and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Shift Management: Capability to manage shift operations, coordinate with teams, and ensure minimal downtime.
