Help Desk Operator
Job Description Summary
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Help Desk Operator to support day-to-day operations across the Placemaking NSW portfolio. Reporting to the Help Desk Team Leader, this role will act as the first point of contact for service requests, incidents and operational issues across live public precincts. Working closely with Facilities Management, Event Operations, Permit and Berth teams, HSE and contractors, you will help ensure issues are logged, coordinated and resolved efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
Receive, log and coordinate service requests, incidents and operational enquiries
Prioritize and allocate requests in line with service levels and escalation procedures
Coordinate maintenance requests and operational issues with internal teams and contractors
Support event-related operational coordination and access requests
Maintain accurate records, work orders and reporting data
Escalate safety, operational or public impact issues as required
Provide professional and timely communication to stakeholders and service teams
About You
Experience in help desk, facilities coordination, operations support or a similar role
Strong organizational and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments
Clear and professional communication skills
Strong attention to detail and record-keeping capability
Experience within public-facing, facilities or operational environments desirable
Customer-focused mindset with sound judgement and problem-solving ability
