Job Description Summary

Responsible to assist with the operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties/facilities.

About the Role:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, install, and modify building systems and equipment including HVAC, plumbing, machinery, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and grounds equipment.
  • Inspect buildings, grounds, and systems for safety, functionality, and preventative maintenance; recommend upgrades and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain fire and life safety systems, respond to emergencies and service requests, perform snow removal and carpentry as needed, and comply with all safety training, codes, regulations, and company policies.
  • Repair and replace building finishes (ceilings, doors, walls, flooring), clean and service equipment, and ensure proper use and care of tools and materials.
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency, flexibility, multitasking, urgency, customer service focus, and effective use of technology; maintain professional appearance and meet education requirements (High School Diploma or GED).

About You:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property or facilities maintenance setting.
  • Technical, vocational, or on‑the‑job training in at least one skilled trade such as HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, process controls, or engine repair.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (commercial license may be required) and basic proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to work shift schedules, on‑call/standby duties, overtime, and extended periods without relief when responding to emergencies.
  • May serve as the sole maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts, requiring strong problem‑solving skills and self‑direction.
