Job Description Summary
The Senior Project Manager will manage complex, highly technical projects through inception, design, material procurement, permitting, construction, closeout, and operational startup. This candidate must possess communication and leadership skills required for large industrial projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and schedule meetings, prepare agendas, develop and maintain master project budgets and timelines as required for each project and project phase to ensure overall project objectives and client needs are met.
- Prepare and coordinate project reports and drawing reviews for clients at all project phases including conceptual, schematic, design development and construction phases. Must possess ability to review drawings and specifications across multiple disciplines. Candidate should be fluent in MEP systems and commercial construction.
- Create RFP’s for general contractors, designers, and client vendors. Assist in the selection and contracting process. Provide oversight of consultants and construction teams as necessary for each project. If appropriate/applicable, integrate the impact of other Project Management and C&W components, including brokerage (work letter development), building operations, incentives, etc. as they relate to each project and project phase.
- Review pay requisitions, change orders and other invoices associated with the project. Advise and counsel the client accordingly.
- Directly participate in the marketing and presentation of services to clients.
- May manage external teams to deliver successful client projects.
- Lead conceptual estimate reviews; Guide teams through value engineering process.
- Understand C&W client contracts and manage projects within the boundaries of the contracts. Ensure profitability.
- Must be able to travel to Joliet, IL a minimum of 3 days per week.
- Manage the commissioning and quality assurance processes. Guide the client through operational startup.
- Candidate must have the foresight to identify problems and proactively engage appropriate parties to establish solutions before project delays occur.
- Actively manage the material procurement process.
- Coordinate permitting reviews and meetings with Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
- Coordinate meetings with local utility providers. Ensure facilities will have adequate utilities prior to operational startup.
- Work with multiple bidders to assemble estimates.
- Provide move management and logistics planning for client equipment.

EDUCATION
B.S. Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related area required
IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 10 years directly related experience in an engineering/construction project accountability role
- Minimum of 4 years direct experience in industrial, manufacturing, or high-tech fabrication facilities.
- Experience in facilities greater than 200,000 SF preferred.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts. (Legal language will be handled by licensed attorneys.)
- History of risk management with multiple clients

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $ 136,000.00 - $160,000.00
