Job Description
1. Fire Safety Management
- Ensure installation, maintenance, and inspection of fire protection systems (hydrants, sprinklers, alarms, extinguishers).
- Conduct routine fire safety audits and inspections.
- Identify potential fire hazards and implement corrective actions.
2. Compliance & Regulatory Requirements
- Ensure compliance with local fire safety norms such as those prescribed by the National Building Code of India.
- Liaise with Fire Department authorities for approvals, NOCs, and inspections.
- Maintain statutory records and documentation.
3. Emergency Preparedness
- Develop and implement emergency response plans.
- Conduct fire drills and evacuation exercises.
- Train staff, residents, and security teams on fire safety procedures.
4. Incident Handling & Reporting
- Respond to fire emergencies and coordinate evacuation.
- Investigate fire incidents and prepare reports.
- Recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
5. Training & Awareness
- Conduct regular fire safety training sessions.
- Educate occupants on use of fire extinguishers and emergency exits.
- Ensure signage and emergency instructions are clearly displayed.
6. Equipment & System Monitoring
- Ensure all fire systems are functional and tested periodically.
- Coordinate with vendors for AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts).
- Maintain logs for inspections and servicing.
