We are honored to introduce and celebrate Bryan Donohue, a Marine Corps Veteran and Cushman & Wakefield Services Maintenance Tech Apprentice, based in San Antonio, Texas. Bryan began his military career as a Field Radio Operator, eventually rising to the rank of Radio Chief. Today, he specializes in mechatronics robotics maintenance for our client, Amazon, supporting their shipment and packaging operations.
Transitioning from military to civilian life has been an ongoing challenge for Bryan, requiring perseverance and grit. However, with the strong support of his family and the guidance of his manager, Bryan has excelled within the program. One of Bryan’s proudest achievements since joining the apprenticeship program was purchasing his first home—a significant personal milestone.
Military to Civilian Work:
Bryan learned about C&W Services through the Department of Defense’s Skillbridge Program, which connects transitioning service members with industry partners for internships, apprenticeships, and job training. Recruited by his current manager, Nathan McMahan, Bryan credits Nathan's patient and hands-on mentorship for helping him excel in this new chapter of his career.
Having experienced the fast-paced demands of military service, Bryan was drawn to the dynamic learning environment of the apprenticeship program. After completing his first year, he completed 85% of his benchmarks and earned portable certifications from Vincennes University. Bryan looks forward to the possibility of furthering his education, as his certification classes can be applied toward a degree.
Bryan has enthusiastically embraced ongoing training opportunities. This past September, he traveled out of state for specialized Linear Sorting Machine training, further expanding his technical skillset.
Proactive Problem-Solving:
At the Amazon facility, Bryan has proven himself to be a proactive problem-solver, with a passion for understanding the mechanics behind the equipment he maintains. His responsibilities include fixing machinery, monitoring issues to prevent equipment malfunctions, and performing preventive maintenance. Bryan is already executing many of the tasks associated with Maintenance Tech II and III roles, having reached the majority of program benchmarks. He is eager to officially take on these roles upon the program’s completion.
We are incredibly proud to have Bryan on our team and grateful for his service, as well as his dedication to C&W Services!
