Job Description Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and management for the facilities organization at a specific location, set of buildings, or campus environment. The Facilities Manager is charged with the day-to-day implementation of policies, procedures, programs and workplace services delivery that provides a well-managed and well-maintained building. An emphasis of this role is placed on a positive response to the concerns and needs of the tenants, environmental health and safety, and quality programs, in coordination with the client's goals and objectives. This position coordinates the activities, financials, vendors and manpower required for current and future needs of the building and operations.

Job Description

  • Lead IFM delivery across assigned schools or clusters, ensuring all works and services are delivered professionally, effectively, efficiently and in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Assist the Senior Facilities Manager / Operations Director in managing the portfolio and deputise where required during absence, escalation or peak operational periods.
  • Organise, coordinate and control FMEs, technicians, subcontractors, service partners and Employer-appointed contractors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and timely closure of works.
  • Manage emergency repairs, ad-hoc repairs, breakdowns, troubleshooting, service recovery and technical attendance to minimise disruption to school operations.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance, scheduled maintenance, corrective maintenance, improvement works and site inspections, ensuring works meet service standards, safety requirements and quality benchmarks.
  • Serve as the key front-line liaison with Employer Representatives and school stakeholders, managing communications, expectations, feedback, complaints and follow-up actions professionally.
  • Plan and programme works and services with the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, FMEs, technicians and subcontractors, including schedule planning, site coordination and implementation of improvement works.
  • Oversee permit-to-work controls, risk assessment submissions, safety compliance, subcontractor work methods and site checks to ensure works are carried out safely and properly documented.
  • Consolidate technical reports, findings, incident reports, site records, maintenance updates and monthly performance inputs for management and client reporting.
  • Monitor KPIs, response and closure timelines, fault trends, recurring issues, subcontractor performance and customer satisfaction, escalating systemic issues and driving corrective actions where required.
