About the Role
- Responsible for the management and maintenance of the M&E facilities in the Building.
- Oversee functions and activities of day-to-day M&E systems and prepare a systematic approach to repair, maintenance and improvement work.
- Develop, implement, review and maintain the maintenance regime and processes; review processes and implement improvement to building services.
- Oversees the works carried out by the outsourced contractors and to ensure minimal disruption to the building operation.
- Attend all monthly meetings with the Employer and be physically present on-site during emergencies unless obtained the prior permission from the Employer to absent himself/herself from the meeting or emergencies, and that an authorised representative will be attending on his/her behalf.
- The Assistant Engineer shall carry out daily inspections under the Contract to ensure that the Site is well maintained. The Employer may, as and when required, request for joint inspection.
- To carry out daily maintenance of M&E systems/building activities.
- To supervise and ensure all M&E and building services under the Contract are properly maintained and in efficient operating condition.
- To monitor all scheduled, breakdown, unscheduled and cyclical maintenance works.
- To schedule, monitor and ensure scheduled and breakdown maintenance activities and additional M&E and building services under the Contract are carried out effectively.
- To supervise a team of staff deployed on site.
- To carry out daily inspection of M&E systems and building to ensure that defects are promptly rectified as spelt out in the service standard.
- Assist in enforcing fire safety rules and policing for fire safety measures for the Site.
- Any instruction given by the Employer to the Engineer shall be deemed to be instructions to the Contractor who shall carry them out expeditiously.
About You
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
- Minimally 3–5 years of experience in operations and maintenance, preferably in building or facilities management.
- Knowledge of M&E systems, corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Must have FSM (Fire Safety Management) Cert.
