Job Description Summary

The role is responsible for leading the Commercial and Finance functions supporting a globally recognised banking and financial services sector client in Korea and is accountable for the timely delivery of commercial reporting, financial governance and finance operations activities. The role oversees financial stewardship, commercial performance reporting, process standardization, service quality and prioritisation across both client requirements and internal business objectives. This position partners closely with country leadership, facilities, real estate services and project management peers both within Korea and regionally to support effective decision making and business performance.

About the role

  • Support the development, delivery and review of annual bottom‑up budgets in close partnership with operations teams.
  • Manage and perform key financial processes including month‑end close, accruals, budgeting, forecasting, billing review, financial reconciliations, and compliance activities within agreed timeline.
  • Prepare, review and validate financial information to ensure accuracy, completeness and alignment with external and internal reporting requirements.
  • Work directly with financial systems and data sources to analyze variances, support audit needs and respond to ad‑hoc financial queries.
  • Coordinate receivables management, vendor invoice compliance, and process efficiency relating to payments and billing cycles.
  • Identify issues impacting accuracy or timeliness and take proactive steps to resolve them or escalate appropriately.
  • Lead and support the finance team by providing direction, coaching and day‑to‑day guidance to ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Coordinate workload planning, prioritization, and resource allocation across the C&F functions to support service delivery requirements.
  • Implement and maintain standardized processes, documentation and controls to improve quality and reduce operational risk.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders and the client’s finance team, providing clear, practical commercial insights and updates.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of commercial reporting activities, ensuring contractual and financial performance metrics are accurately tracked, reported and communicated to stakeholders.
  • Support account leadership in identifying commercial risks, performance trends, commercial savings and improvement opportunities through data-driven analysis and reporting.
  • Strengthen the team’s operating rhythm by balancing cyclical finance tasks with client-driven requests and urgent internal priorities.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, responsiveness and continuous improvement within the team.

About you

  • Ability to analyse and work hands‑on with large datasets and transaction volumes while maintaining high accuracy.
  • Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and partnering closely with operations and client teams to drive decision making.
  • Experience delivering detailed financial processes while managing and guiding a finance team in a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.
  • Experience improving processes, driving efficiency and implementing structured ways of working across a finance function.
  • Strong technical understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, month‑end close and financial controls.
  • Power BI or other reporting tools are advantageous; experience with Yardi or real estate systems is beneficial
  • Property or corporate real estate finance experience viewed favorably.

Qualifications & Technical Skills

  • Strong English and Korean language capabilities required to interface with local and regional stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience leading team with high emotional intelligence and clear communication skills.
  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a senior finance manager or senior property accounting role.
  • Qualified accountant with solid finance knowledge required.
  • Strong IT skills including Excel, PowerPoint and BI tools.
