About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Electrician to join our Christchurch Building Services team, supporting a diverse portfolio of commercial and critical facilities across Canterbury.
Based from our Paragon Place office, you'll be responsible for delivering a mix of reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), compliance testing, and minor electrical projects. No two days are the same, with work spanning financial institutions, retail and supermarket environments, government facilities, educational sites, and other large commercial properties.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician who enjoys variety, autonomy, and building strong relationships with clients while working within a supportive and highly skilled team.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out reactive electrical maintenance and fault finding across commercial sites
Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and compliance inspections
Undertake minor installations, upgrades, and remedial works
Test, commission, and maintain electrical systems and equipment
Inspect and service emergency lighting and essential building services
Accurately document work activities using mobile technology
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company and legislative requirements
Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
Current New Zealand Electrical Practising Licence
Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Commitment to Health, Safety, and Quality standards
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Full, clean New Zealand driver's licence
