Job Description
We’re seeking a South Island Branch Manager to take ownership of our regional trades function. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational performance, leading a diverse multi-trade workforce and delivering strong commercial outcomes across the South Island.
Reporting to the Director of Facilities Services, you will play a key role in shaping team culture, strengthening client relationships and identifying opportunities to grow the business, ensuring we continue to set the benchmark for service delivery in the market.
- Deliver regional financial performance including revenue, margins, WIP and debt targets
- Drive labour utilisation, recovery and operational efficiency
- Lead and develop a positive, high-performing team culture
- Manage a multi-disciplinary trades workforce (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC) and subcontractor network
- Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across all contracts
- Build and maintain strong client relationships at a regional level
- Identify and grow new business opportunities, introducing innovative and technology-led solutions
- Oversee integration of new work and growth opportunities into the region
- Manage escalated issues and ensure timely resolution
- Ensure compliance with subcontractor, H&S and people management frameworks
- Support regional account retention and growth
Skills & Experience
- Building services or technical qualifications / Trades background essential
- Proven leadership experience managing trades teams and subcontractors
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial or corporate maintenance environment
- Strong business development capability with a practical, solutions-focused approach
- Project management experience within maintenance or facilities environments
- Solid understanding of health & safety best practice
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office; JDE experience advantageous
- Commercially Savy and client centric approach.
