Key Responsibilities
1. Repair Team Leadership
- Lead, supervise, and manage the repair team in executing daily repair works and fault rectification.
- Plan and allocate manpower, tools, and resources efficiently.
- Ensure all repair works are carried out in compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to technicians on complex issues.
- Monitor team performance, discipline, and productivity.
2. Maintenance Trend Analysis
- Analyse maintenance data, breakdown reports, and service records to identify recurring faults and failure patterns.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies based on data insights.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as downtime, fault frequency, and response time.
- Recommend improvements to reduce breakdowns and enhance lift reliability.
3. Technical & Operational Support
- Investigate major breakdowns and provide root cause analysis (RCA).
- Liaise with suppliers and OEMs for technical support and resolution of complex issues.
- Support modernization and upgrading works by providing technical input from maintenance data.
4. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare regular reports on maintenance trends, repair activities, and system performance.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, component replacements, and fault history.
- Present findings and recommendations to management and clients where required.
5. Continuous Improvement
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices.
- Drive initiatives to enhance maintenance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Support training and development of technicians to improve technical competency.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in lift/escalator maintenance or repair works.
- Strong troubleshooting and technical knowledge of lift systems.
- Experience in data analysis and maintenance trend evaluation.
- Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
