Job Description Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and management for the facilities organization at a specific location, set of buildings, or campus environment. The Facilities Manager is charged with the day-to-day implementation of policies, procedures, programs and workplace services delivery that provides a well-managed and well-maintained building. An emphasis of this role is placed on a positive response to the concerns and needs of the tenants, environmental health and safety, and quality programs, in coordination with the client's goals and objectives. This position coordinates the activities, financials, vendors and manpower required for current and future needs of the building and operations.
Job Description
The Building Managers will respond to the Community Centre/Club/Building, users, and the Authority, ensuring that the Facilities Management Services outlined in the contract are properly carried out.
The Building Manager will help the Community Centre/Club/Building plan and schedule visits and maintenance services, including working with the Project Manager/ Asset Managers and project team as and when to implement any improvement works.
The Building Manager will act as the site supervisor and assist the Quantity Surveyors with site measurements and records. They will also upload all field data to the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
The Building Manager must be physically present on-site at all times unless they have prior permission from the Authority to be absent.
To prepare monthly management report and submit to PM.
Respond to incidents on site, coordinate with CC and contractors to recover services and minimize operations disruptions.
To report to Property Manager and prepare incident report within 24 hours and to assist in conducting After Action Review (AAR) and identify gaps.
Attend all site meetings, with the recording of meeting minutes.
