DoD Skillbridge Internships

Cushman & Wakefield and C&W Services is committed to the successful transition of our men and women in uniform, and have become an authorized provider of Department of Defense Skillbridge internships.  

This great program allows for transitioning service members to work in and among our businesses in unique internship learning opportunites to help support a successful transition from military to civilian career. 

DoD Skillbridge Internships are available ONLY for DoD Skillbridge eligible candidates serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.

To be considered for DoD Skillbridge opportunities the candidate must fill out the survey in this link for tracking purposes. This survey helps our selection team in coordinating timing, location and opportunities for Skillbridge internships. 
  • We also encourage candidates interested in these internships to fill out an internship category application to one of the Skillbridge requisitions in the next section of this page (Engineering, Building Operations, Professionals).
    • Skillbridge opportunities are filled based on full time roles in our business, and NOT based on Skillbridge postings on the DoD Skillbridge site or our career site. This is not a one-size/one-program fits all.  
      • Any open position in the the business can be considered as a Skillbridge opportunity as all Skillbridge internships have the intention of becoming full time roles - assuming appropriate skill level and experience. 
  • Your resume is key to being reviewed by a hiring team. Don't have one?  Use this resource to write one. 
    • It is imperative that your prior experience on the resume aligns with some of the job or internship's requirements - and that your resume reflects this
  • Candidates who are accepted will be invited to a learning internship, up to 6 months long, in a business unit applicable to the candidate's interests and location.  
  • We are typically unable to evaluate a candidate for a Skillbridge opportunity any further out than 2-3 months from availability or Skillbridge start time. This is because every role is unique and aimed at a full time opening.

Skillbridge internship opportunities 

Secondary Page Maintenance
Skilled  Engineering and Facilities  Oversee, monitor and manage mission critical systems in facilities large and small.  Skilled trades, technical and facility/ship's mechanical experience is a plus. 
Commercial properties, clients and visitors rely on you to keep things running efficiently and effectively.  You are the skilled technical expert.   
Operations Building Management and Operations Work with clients, occupiers and property owners to ensure that operations run smoothly, and that all parties are satisfied at all times.  Facility management, vendor contract, logistics and customer service experience is encouraged here. 
High sense of urgency and attention to detail are necessary here. 
Management and Administrative Professionals This industry relies on team players who can analyze data, engage people and move at the speed of business.  
Intelligence, analysis and data collection experience is a great-to-have.
These are roles that support operational functions with different skills-valuation, research, investments and brokerage.
