About the Role:
- Fire Safety Program Development: Design and implement comprehensive fire safety policies, procedures, and training programs for camp personnel to prevent and respond to fire emergencies.
- Risk Assessment and Inspections: Conduct regular fire risk assessments and inspections of camp facilities, identifying potential fire hazards and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Emergency Response Planning: Develop and maintain fire emergency response plans, including evacuation protocols, emergency equipment readiness, and coordination with local fire services.
- Training and Drills: Organize and oversee fire safety training and drills for all camp personnel to ensure they are well-prepared for fire-related emergencies.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of fire safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, alarms, sprinkler systems, and fire suppression systems.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to national fire safety regulations and military standards, preparing reports for senior leadership and external regulatory bodies.
- Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into fire incidents, determine causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- The role requires strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of fire safety systems and regulations, and the ability to manage fire risk proactively in a high-security military environment.
About You:
- Diploma in Facilities Management/Mechanical/Electrical/Building or equivalent.
- FSM/ Senior FSM Cert registered with SCDF.
- At least 1 Year of experience as appointed FSM for large building/estate.
