POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sustainability & ESG Services business delivers advisory; certification; reporting; and asset optimization services for Cushman & Wakefield’s clients. This role will be a key position within our Asia Pacific Team.

This role will work with clients and internal stakeholders to strategically grow the Sustainability Advisory business across Asia Pacific. The role focuses on developing, managing and growing the Sustainability & ESG business though business development and cross-business collaboration at Cushman & Wakefield.

The key to success in this role is understanding sustainability principles as they relate to the built environment and being able to work alongside the wider sustainability services team to develop and deliver client specific solutions to meet long-term goals. As well as an interest in remaining at the forefront of a changing industry to bring best-practice to Cushman & Wakefield clients.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The role has responsibility for:

  • Strategic growth and development of the Asia Pacific Sustainability & ESG team through business development, managing internal relationships, and increasing the visibility and positioning of the team in the market.
  • Identifying new Sustainability Advisory business opportunities, providing business development responses and ongoing Sustainability and ESG solutioning.
  • Building strong working relationships across the Cushman & Wakefield business across Asia Pacific. Striving for win-win outcomes that create growth opportunities for the whole firm, while positioning sustainability as a thought leader, innovator, and key differentiator.
  • Engaging with client and internal stakeholders to promote regional sustainability services and expertise and grow the Asia Pacific business.
  • Engaging with Sustainability teams across Asia Pacific to drive collaboration, product consistency, teamwork and engagement, and service excellence. Champion a One Team mindset and lead by example.
  • Positioning yourself as a leader within Cushman & Wakefield, and across the industry. Participating in various industry forums and events, client engagements, business development, and team and individual profiling, to build your personal and company brand.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

  • Position will work with Head of Sustainability Advisory, Asia Pacific to develop an annual operating business plan each year.
  • Ability to ensure profitability of services delivered and think big in terms of creating positive impact.
  • Experience managing budgets, act responsibly and decisively to unlock growth.

KEY SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES

  • Works independently, uses initiative and exercises sound judgment
  • Displays a “can-do” and solution focused attitude
  • Excellent people, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships including at the C-Suite level
  • Understanding of ESG & Sustainability for both Occupier and Investor Clients
  • Fluency in English

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • A strong interest in Sustainability & ESG issues and trends
  • More than 4 years demonstrated experience in sustainability and ESG in the Real Estate industry
  • Demonstrated experience delivering sustainability-related services in the Real Estate industry including fund or portfolio-level sustainability strategy development, climate risk analysis and GRESB reporting
  • Demonstrated experience in project, team, or program management
  • Excellent project planning, coordination, management, and organisational skills to support the prioritisation of workload and deliverables
  • Demonstrated understanding and use of positive stakeholder management approaches
